Our first stop was Bourton on the Water, where we wandered about, checking out the local sights and shops.
We drove on to Stow on the Wold along narrow country roads passing alongside lush fields dotted with sheep.
The villages are quite close together and each one filled with delightful stone buildings.
Our trip took us to Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and Broadway, arriving back at Bourton on the Water in time for an early dinner of bangers and mash at the Duke of Wellington pub.
The weather isn't too cold, but it did start raining this afternoon.
The old stone buildings are indeed beautiful. Nothing better than bangers and mash.
